The average passerby gives your poster two seconds. These are the layout habits that earn the third.
One message, one hero
Every poster needs a single focal point — a headline, a face, a shape — that reads from three metres away. Supporting details (dates, lineups, fine print) shrink into a clear second layer. If two elements fight for attention, the viewer chooses neither.
Give it room to breathe
White space is not empty space; it's the frame that makes your hero pop. Our rule of thumb: margins at least 8% of the shortest edge, and never more than three type sizes on one sheet. Restraint reads as confidence.
Commit to one brave colour
The posters people keep usually do one daring thing: a hot-pink gradient, an acid-yellow field, a deep-ink background. Pair it with one neutral and let it carry the wall. On press, we match that hero colour to a physical swatch so the wall version equals the screen dream.
